yesterday at the tokyo game show nintendo revealed the controller for their next game console. a complete departure from the two-handed game pad that has been the standard for 20 years, the new controller *could* be the biggest innovation in video games since the release of mario 64, when the classic 2d platformer gained a third dimension. whether the revolution's new controller will have as huge an impact on gaming history as mario 64 did remains to be seen. guess we'll all find out on launch day.
