The Perennial Garden Wall

I got my feet wet building this wall before I undertook the gazebo project. As you might have guessed, I had been to the University of Virginia around the time I built it, and had seen Thomas Jefferson's famous Serpentine Wall on the campus. The wall forms a border of the perennial garden, which will be two years old this summer. Among the flowers you can see here are (from right to left) orange French Marigolds, white and purple phlox, blue lavender (hanging over the wall), shasta daisy, stocks, lamb's ear, cosmos, and a variety of herbacious spices. Blue bachelor buttons (cornflower) are on the far right in the background.
